(Week 12) Final Build - The End

Heyo~ here's our last(?) update of our game Reflection,

The game is finally done and released in our latest build, please check it out! There's a release for Windows and MAC available but mind you this game is a bit intensive on MAC.

The ending of the game has been released as a video here https://youtu.be/iGtvXpO0VDY. These are SPOILERS in case you wanted to play the game yourself.

When Reflection was just an idea, I showed my team this image as I thought it conveyed what I wanted this game to feel.

I wanted a game to leave an impact on our players. I wanted to give players a story and let them be lost in another world for a little bit. After these twelve weeks, I'm so excited and proud to see that my team had made that possible. Looking at the finished product after so much hard work is amazing and I cannot thank my team enough for the phenomenal work they did. Thank you ♥

From the beginning, my team shared the passion that I had and it was clear to see through their devotion and effort as they'd ask me what this game is about and what we wanted to have. I'll be honest after the idea was formed I wasn't so sure how it would go. But over time, it came clearer and clearer that I wanted Reflection to just be an experience one could have.

Each week became harder than the last, as more stuff was added to the game and with new additions comes additional refinements, code, bugs, problems, and decisions but it never stopped being enjoyable. It never stopped being the thing I wanted most to succeed and neither did my team. The countless hours we spent on this game and I don't regret it one bit.

With this game, we were dropped into an unfamiliar situation for most of us. We've mostly never even touched game dev so this was new and scary. But we worked through it together and overcame so many obstacles. It's crazy to think how beautiful the game looks but it's easy to forget that the process was beautiful too. I really am going to miss working on this as adamantly as we did but when one door closes, another opens.

But I don't want this door to close just yet, there are a few more things I want this game to have and hopefully, it will see more updates in the future. I'm really thankful I took this course, and I'm really thankful I got to know my team and I'm thankful you got to play the game~

I hope you enjoyed ♥

Also, see if you can find this note in the game! :) (only in v1.04 though)

Thank you to all of our beta playtesters~ (sorry if I missed you)
